General Questions

Is customer service available 24/7?

Our customer support center is open Monday through Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm PCT. After hours support for urgent matters is available as well.

How do you help our calls get through Caller ID Block?

One of the advantages of using the RingRx Mobile App is that it allows you to place calls as though you are calling from your office. So the number displayed on your patient’s phone will be that of your office.

Are there really no contracts or obligations?

That is correct. There are no contracts. You pay as you go and can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time without fees or penalties.

Can we just use the phone system without the on-call system?

Sure! You can choose to use any or all the systems, which are the RingRx Deskphone System, RingRx On-call System, and the RingRx Mobile App. Your phone system will work just as well if you don’t use the on-call system or mobile app, but we do recommend them because it is much more efficient to use the on-call system to automatically route calls to your team, and likewise, play all messages on your phone with the mobile app.

How does the 30-day free trial work?

The RingRx free trial allows you to test our system for 30 days. You’ll get the same quality of service that we offer all our clients.  When you would like to continue, just let us know and we activate your account as permanent.  

You can setup multiple users, voicemail boxes, a menu, fax service, texting, and any other feature you would like.

Is RingRx HIPAA compliant?

Yes. RingRx is one of the few phone systems designed exclusively for doctors and has therefore been built to be HIPAA compliant. We provide a signed BAA at the start of your service at your request.

What kind of phones do you provide?

RingRx uses Polycom and Obihai brand phones.  (Obihai was recently acquired by Polycom). For details about Polycom deskphones, please check out their website here. We chose Polycom for their quality, reliability, and features. One of the best benefits of using Polycom is we can manage your phone settings from our office! This minimizes the burden of troubleshooting and lets us handle it for you. Most phones do not have this capability.

Do you provide phones with your service?

Yes, every account on our Clinic plan gets deskphones included as part of their service.  There are no additional purchase or lease charges on this plan.  We program the phones and send them out to you within 7-10 days.

Will you train my team?

Yes, we provide support and training for our service. 

How long does it take to get up and running?

Because everything is handled in the cloud without old legacy phone systems, we can have your trial account setup the same day you sign up for the trial.  We can also add several other users to your account the same day and build your menu and other features.  If you would like deskphones, please allow 7-10 days for them to be received.  

Are there any installation costs or servers to buy?

Nope you won’t need to buy any servers and we do not charge any installation costs.  You will need an internet connection and a network cable at each phone location. You may need to have some modifications made to your network depending on the number of users and the particulars of your current network, but probably not.

Are there any limits on calling minutes?

No. Both local and long distance calls are free for normal office use and you will never get a bill for excess minutes. For details, see our reasonable use clause.

Is long distance really unlimited, and free?

That’s right. Long distance is really unlimited and free. We’re proud to be one of the very few phone providers to offer you this.
